Chan Ramos, CRNA — Chief Nurse Anesthetist and founder of Chan Ramos MedSpa in Round Rock, TX

Your Injector Keeps People Alive for a Living

Chan spent years as Chief Nurse Anesthetist at Baylor Scott & White, leading a team of roughly 50 CRNAs and personally administering anesthesia in the operating room. Her job was to keep patients safe and stable during surgery — monitoring every nerve, every vital sign, every response in real time.

She brings that same precision to aesthetics. When your injector understands facial anatomy at the level required to manage someone through open surgery, a few units of Botox or a syringe of filler is second nature.

From the OR to Aesthetics

Chan grew up in southern Brazil, where she earned her nursing degree from UFRGS — one of the country’s top universities. After moving to the United States, she worked the step-down unit and ICU at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois, building the clinical foundation needed to get into CRNA school.

She completed her nurse anesthesia training at Saint Mary’s University in Minnesota, then spent years in Level 1 trauma — the highest-acuity cases in medicine — before becoming Chief CRNA.

After two decades of keeping people alive, she wanted to build something small, personal, and hers. That’s Chan Ramos MedSpa.

“So, how did I get into aesthetics? I get this question asked a lot. So, I thought I would share a little bit how I got into aesthetics and why I love it so much.

So, as most of you guys know, my background is in anesthesia. I’m a nurse anesthetist, and I’ve been working as a nurse anesthetist for over a decade. All this experience gave me a strong clinical foundation, a deep focus on patient safety, patient care, a very good eye for detail, and very good skills with needles.

I loved the medical side of things, but over time, I realized I was craving something more personal and more creative to share with my patients. And that’s exactly what drew me into aesthetics.

Now, I get to use everything I’ve learned in a way that helps people not just look better, but feel better, more confident, more aligned with how they see themselves. It’s honestly such a rewarding space to be in, and I feel really grateful to be doing something that brings together science and real human connection. I love my job.”

Less Is More

“I want you to leave here looking like yourself — just refreshed. If someone can tell you had something done, I didn’t do my job right.”

— Chan Ramos, CRNA

Chan’s approach is conservative and intentional. She’d rather do a little less today and build over time than give you a result you’ll regret. Every treatment plan is designed around your face, your goals, and your pace — not a menu.

A Small Practice on Purpose

Chan built this medspa to be small. Appointment-only scheduling, no assembly line, and no crowded waiting room. Every patient gets her full attention.

“I already run a department of fifty people. I built this practice so I could slow down, take my time, and actually get to know every patient.”

— Chan Ramos, CRNA

Chan speaks English and Portuguese — welcoming patients from Austin’s growing Brazilian community and beyond.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a CRNA?

A Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) is an advanced-practice nurse trained to administer anesthesia and manage patients during surgery. It requires a graduate degree and thousands of clinical hours. Chan holds this credential and currently practices anesthesia at a major hospital system in addition to running her medspa.

Does Chan personally do the treatments?

Chan is the lead injector and designs every treatment plan. She oversees all care at the practice, so you always see someone who knows your history and your goals.

Do you offer consultations before treatment?

Yes. Every new patient starts with a one-on-one consultation. There is no pressure to book a treatment the same day.

Is the weight loss program in-person or online?

In-person. Chan monitors your progress with regular visits and adjusts your dosage as needed. This is not a telehealth prescription service.
